one more thing to add, u will need to be there when the npc gave out the hat,

it work differently than the madking one where it give during the end. this winterday give the hat quite early. so after they gave out, u cant get hat anymore.

the thing to do was be at a low numbered district for the hat you WANTED. then be at the avatar no one else was. scoop up all the goodies that dropped. then when you got the hat you wanted. you pop over to a random high number district and repeat. then hope its a dwayna district so you reap tons of presents at the end. i walked out of winterday with over 100 wintersday gifts i think.

what a let down, couldnt get antlers for my ele, i watched over 200 people stand whre the grenth avatar would come up and at 5 am cst nothing shows up, brings a teer to my eye ;(

More than that. When I logged on there were 125 American Districts in LA. Managed to snag both hats for my mesmer ^^

Europeans got the best deal, they could get the hats in their districts and immediately later get them in the international districts. Now my ranger has a Yule Cap (which makes him look decidedly homosexual) and a pair of horns (which look pimp).
